WATERLAND in bareboat charter to Wagenborg

Due to expansion of activities the tug 'Waterland' has been taken into bareboat charter by Wagenborg Towage, Delfzijl, The Netherlands. Waterland is a 71 tonnes bollard pull Damen Shoalbuster 3511. In 2013 she has been built at the Damen shipyard in Hardinxveld and delivered as 'Kaikoura' in 2014 by Damen Marine Service BV. Since May 2015 she is renamed 'Waterland' wearing the Wagenborg flag with home port Delfzijl. Waterland is equipped with 2 Caterpillar engines with a total capacity of 5072 hp. This power is converted into traction by the two fixed pitch propellers with nozzles of 2700mm. For maneuvering, she also has a hydraulic bow thruster with 400hp capacity. On deck a 100 tons Ridderinkhof towing winch is installed with 1010m wire on the drum and for the safe towing operations Karm Fork towing pins. Waterland is Wagenborgs largerst tug with a gross tonnage of 600 tonnes. She will mainly be deployed for sea towing transport and projects with heavy cargo deck pontoons. The Dutch registered tug with call sign PCXA has a length of 35.25 mtrs a beam of 11.60 mtrs and a depth of 5.25 mtrs.
