If you want to be informed thoroughly about all there is to see in the museum and the backgrounds, we advise you to book a guided tour. This is possible for groups up to a maximum of 15 visitors per guide.   If you like, we can arrange a museum tour in combination with a visit to one of the tugs in the harbour. It is prohibited to film or take pictures in the museum.   Smoking in the museum is not allowed.   Technical and internal instructions from the attendants of the museum must be respected.
  At the entrance of the museum you find a shop. If you are interested in one or more articles you can order these from the attendant at the counter. The assortment in the shop consists of videos, posters, modelling packages, cut-outs, brassware, books and photographs. Something for everyone, so you will see. Most of the items are in stock. However, for some articles you must take in account a delivery time. The museum has an ample library at its deposal. In consultation with the management of the museum you may be permitted to use the library for study and research purposes. The newly furbished "sea hall" (zeezaal) is perfectly suited for these activities. You will also find there the Visitors Information System (BIS), a digital system that provides for all basic information and determination pictures regarding the tug models in the museum and many more Dutch tug boats.
